background & training

The Legal Support Investigative Service was founded by Randall Alexander.  Randall is a veteran, having honorably served two tours active duty (8 years) in the United States Marine Corps with a Government Secret Clearance, nearly six years in a leadership position as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Fleet Marine Force.  Randall was selected for the elite Marine Security Guard detachment in Washington, D.C., then later served in armored reconnaissance as a vehicle commander, engaged in intelligence gathering for the division command in excess of 19,000 combat Marines.

Afterwards, Randall was trained and employed as a Peace Officer in Southern California, receiving several commendations: one for community service, another for investigative work,  top marksmanship award, and others.

Randall worked as a corporate Internal Fraud Investigator while attending college full time, then as a Paralegal for a law firm before obtaining his Private Investigator license and pursuing a career in the private sector.

Randall graduated from the Southern California College of Business and Law, an American Bar Association approved program, with a degree in Paralegal Studies,  with additional studies in Administration of Justice.

Randall has testified in the state and federal court systems. Additionally, Randall has served as an industry expert in the review of private investigator work product, providing his opinion based on codified law, case law and industry periodicals.

Randall Alexander is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, the state licensing and disciplinary agency for California licensed private investigators.  Out of 10,000 state licensed investigators, Randall along with six other investigators were invited to Sacramento by BSIS to assist in the review and rewrite of the private investigator state license exam, which determines competency for licensure.

Randall has served the P.I. Industry, nearly four years as a District Governor for the California Association of Licensed Investigators, organizing monthly continuing education meetings for his peers.  Additionally, he has served on the association Education Committee and Legislative Committee.

Since 1999, Randall has served in the community as a volunteer and board member for  Kids First, a non-profit organization for families of divorce.
